Aureliano Ermano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Instituto ACC's Aureliano Ermano got control of the ball when Augusto Oxarra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Aires kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Eulalio Acuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Chumo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Acuña, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ermegildo Benvido hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Instituto ACC's goalkeeper Aureliano Ermano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Acuña to make the kick off. Laprida AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When Eulalio Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Instituto ACC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Acuña couldn't finish the play. Felix Aires struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jose Chumo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto ACC.
