Marcelo Videl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Elodio having to interfere. Marcelo Videl struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Javier Elodio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dorila AFC. Sixto Oinaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nery Pumpido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Javier Elodio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albino Cordara in the 44th minute. Javier Elodio was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Marcelo Videl capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelo Videl really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixto Oinaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 73rdth minute of the game Albino Cordara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guzmán's Javier Elodio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dorila AFC's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Oinaz in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Marcelo Videl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dorila AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Videl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Dorila AFC booed when Guzmán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Katia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Videl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dorila AFC had played much better football throughout.
