Marcelo Isias started the match with the kick off. Benjamin Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. David Rosio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Isias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Olo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Gualterio Balesio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Ceferino Mateus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ's Ceferino Mateus got control of the ball when Gualterio Balesio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Benjamin Napier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Academia the free kick. The supporters of La Academia booed when Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Napier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ's Ceferino Mateus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ from getting a goal against them. In the 30thth minute of the game Marcelo Isias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia 's David Rosio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Rosio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Isias in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, La Academia 's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Monico came free, but David Rosio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Arias to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in La Academia 's zone, Tomás Monico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Rosio came out of the goal and Tomás Monico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute, Tomás Monico made a precise shot to the right of David Rosio. La Academia 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ceferino Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Banegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tomás Monico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Monico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Rosio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in La Academia 's zone, Tomás Monico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Rosio came out of the goal and Tomás Monico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ's Marcelo Isias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Rosio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomás Monico was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. David Rosio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Monico in the 68th minute. Marcelo Isias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Rosio having to interfere. Gualterio Balesio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Mateus having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Marcelo Isias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Rosio. Marcelo Isias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Tomás Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ḩaiƪe Selaššie ڸƦϜ's Ceferino Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Damario in the 79th minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Marcelo Isias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia 's David Rosio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. La Academia 's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marcelo Isias 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. After a rather tough play, La Academia 's Higinio Arias got a free kick in the 94th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Monico got free with David Rosio in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tomás Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Academia 's David Rosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Monico in the 99th minute of play.
