Modesto Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Machado having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Modesto Valente could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Luis Machado however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Anjuli were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
