Rodrigo Ferman charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Ferman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Basingtoke Córdoba got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Ferman. Basingtoke Córdoba's Matias Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Checa in the 13th minute of play. Matias Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Checa in the 15th minute of the match. Roque Henric fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Jokin having to interfere. Basingtoke Córdoba's Mauro Lizbeth got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roque Henric received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Zeledon Jokin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Mauro Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basingtoke Córdoba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Basingtoke Córdoba's Edgard Cebo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Matias Sauveur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Checa's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. With an all-out effort, Basingtoke Córdoba's Zeledon Jokin threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roque Henric, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zeledon Jokin made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Mauro Lizbeth sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute Roque Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Jokin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, lanf FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Jokin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Ferman. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Henric to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Mauro Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basingtoke Córdoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Lizbeth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Jokin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes, Roque Henric mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basingtoke Córdoba and the lanf FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Roque Henric hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Roque Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, lanf FC's Carolo Milian got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Henric in the 80th minute of play forced lanf FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Jokin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Henric received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Zeledon Jokin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Lorenz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeledon Jokin. lanf FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cecilio Espiridion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Matias Sauveur made a huge save. Zeledon Jokin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Ferman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Sauveur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eugenio Checa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 98 minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
