Ceferino Etxeberri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cosme Arnau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the game, Jorge Bakar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Temperley 1982's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Andes FC the free kick. In the 12th minute, Jorge Bakar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Temperley 1982 booed when Los Andes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Eate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Temperley 1982's Angelino Enekoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelino Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Temperley 1982's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Teobaldo Distiratsu scored to the left of an out of position Rafael Quexal, making the score, 1-0. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Andes FC's goalkeeper Daniel Caradaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anier Eate's late challenge caught a Temperley 1982's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anier Eate helped the player get up and apologised. Anier Eate hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Daniel Caradaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Frances went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rafael Quexal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Distiratsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Enekoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Daniel Caradaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Eate was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 86th match minute, Los Andes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Eate to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Arnau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Temperley 1982 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
