In the 18th minute Eustaquio Umea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Jurgi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Angelino Enekoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cleto Balendin in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Quexal saved Temperley 1982 from getting behind. Angelino Enekoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rosendo Jurgi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Frances in the 32nd minute of play forced Tucuman FC's goalkeeper Rosendo Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceferino Etxeberri charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceferino Etxeberri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Temperley 1982 got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Etxeberri. In the 39th minute, Miguel Meder sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Temperley 1982's Rafael Quexal didn't even have to move. Severiano Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Quexal having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Nofre to make the kick off. If Cristian Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes, Rene Brais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tucuman FC and the Temperley 1982 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Tucuman FC got a freekick which was hit by Rene Brais. In the 57th minute of the match Ceferino Etxeberri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rosendo Jurgi skillfully saved the ball. Rafael Quexal made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cleto Balendin sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute of the match, Cleto Balendin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rafael Quexal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Tucuman FC's zone, Angelino Enekoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Jurgi came out of the goal and Angelino Enekoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Angelino Enekoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tucuman FC's Severiano Nofre got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Cristian Frances managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temperley 1982's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Frances was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Jurgi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafael Quexal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Nofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 92nd minute Miguel Meder suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Angelino Enekoitz's late challenge caught a Tucuman FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Enekoitz helped the player get up and apologised. Santos Gitano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cleto Balendin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tucuman FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Balendin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Quexal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
