Spectators: 7192 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luis Ekain took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 11th minute Luis Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Quexal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aston Birra FC's Luis Ekain got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Temperley 1982! When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, Aston Birra FC's Ceferino Frantzes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rafael Quexal. In the 25th minute Luis Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Quexal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luis Ekain came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Aston Birra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Ekain couldn't finish the play. Jorge Bakar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelino Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Frances was the one to do the kick off. Luis Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Quexal having to interfere. In the 55th minute Zeledon Eli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Quexal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Frances fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Ibar having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Cristian Frances got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 65th minute, Cristian Frances reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Clemente Ibar. The goal made the score 1-1. Zeledon Eli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luis Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Zeledon Eli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Quexal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Eustaquio Umea hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Aston Birra FC's Haroldo Marino suffered a concussion in the 85th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 89 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Javiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Rafael Quexal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Quexal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Eli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bonifacio Javiar struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Rafael Quexal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aston Birra FC. Aston Birra FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
