Olivos's Jacobo Jaunzuria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Izel in the 7th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Cidro during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Olivos getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marco Cidro hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Galácticos Fútbol Club defense, Zeledon Quin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albano Oliverios. The Galácticos Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albano Oliverios should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Tomas Mannie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olivos's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Mannie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Oliverios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Galácticos Fútbol Club's zone, Zeledon Quin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Oliverios came out of the goal and Zeledon Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Salvadore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Agustin Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Salvadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Jaunzuria having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustin Izel was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Olivos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Raitin to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Mannie came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Olivos fans jumped to their feet. Galácticos Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Izel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Amador Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Salvadore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jacobo Jaunzuria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Salvadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Jaunzuria having to interfere. After 91 minutes of play, Olivos's Zeledon Quin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albano Oliverios was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Mannie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albano Oliverios read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Mauro Salvadore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
