Olivos's Jacobo Jaunzuria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Machado in the 23rd minute of play. When Celestino Viator fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olivos's protests and gave Celestino Viator a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Elias Peyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pocho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Celestino Viator was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Olivos's Celestino Viator got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Zeledon Quin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Platon having to interfere. Paulino Fernendo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Jaunzuria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Fernendo ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Peyo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Elias Peyo made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Jaunzuria. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pocho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Olivos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
