Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alberto Menendo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marcial Jatsu came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Regina FC's Genaro Loi. But to his dismay, Genaro Loi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With his leg Baldomero Naelio managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Ramiro Aznar fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Regina FC's protests and gave Ramiro Aznar a yellow card for diving instead. 9 minutes into the game, one of Atletico Regina FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Baldomero Naelio had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabian Paez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Edgard Guzman kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Izotz in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Jatsu saved Candelaria from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Servando during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Herminio Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Herminio Alonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Naelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Izotz in the 34th minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Marcial Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Julian Izotz came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Atletico Regina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Izotz couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herminio Alonso during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Candelaria's Herminio Alonso got a free kick in the 38th minute. Genaro Loi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Jatsu having to interfere. Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Julian Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro Loi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Loi in the 53rd minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Marcial Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Naelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Naelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Godoy in the 61st minute of play. If Benjamin Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atletico Regina FC's Baldomero Naelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Godoy in the 64th minute of play. Julian Izotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marcial Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomero Naelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Godoy in the 72nd minute of play forced Atletico Regina FC's goalkeeper Baldomero Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, Atletico Regina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Alonso to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Paez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baldomero Naelio. Atletico Regina FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Osvaldo Godoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Naelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Regina FC's goalkeeper Baldomero Naelio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomero Naelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Herminio Alonso was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. A collision led to Candelaria getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Herminio Alonso hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Izotz got free with Marcial Jatsu in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the match, Atletico Regina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Guzman came free, but Baldomero Naelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Naelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Guzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Osvaldo Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
