Jeremias Napier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Caton, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Benicio Tipi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Caton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Fe's late challenge caught a C. A. Paladar Negro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Fe helped the player get up and apologised. Dalmacio Fe hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Epifanio Gau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Paladar Negro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jeremias Napier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Sabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by C. A. Paladar Negro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Milian was slow to take the kick. During this time Juan Manuel de Rosas's players had a chance to rest. Juan Manuel de Rosas's Tomas Milian was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jeremias Napier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paladar Negro got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Dei. 44 minutes into the match, Juan Manuel de Rosas's Tomas Milian broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gaudencio Ekhi charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaudencio Ekhi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C. A. Paladar Negro's Gaudencio Ekhi got a free kick in the 45th minute. A collision led to Juan Manuel de Rosas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ernesto Caton hit a great ball. Epifanio Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Gaufred stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ernesto Caton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Napier was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jeremias Napier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Sabino in the 61st minute of play. Ernesto Caton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Napier having to interfere. Jeremias Napier made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Ernesto Caton sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the match, Juan Manuel de Rosas's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Gau came free, but Benigno Jusepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paladar Negro's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Gaufred was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Jusepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donato Gaufred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
