The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Calesita FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ceferino Cidro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newells old Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Cidro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixto Rubio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Macario in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Koldo saved Newells old Boys from getting behind. In the 46th match minute, Newells old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Vela to maneuver through the defense.

When Esteban Macario came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Calesita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Macario couldn't finish the play. Esteban Macario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Isidro Koldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Newells old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Filipo to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Macario's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Isidro Koldo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Esteban Macario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 played minutes Calesita FC got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Macario. Edgard Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sixto Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sixto Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Savier in the 96th minute of play.
