The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Chabier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Remigio Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Chabier having to interfere. When Mauricio Esiquio fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rompe Bolas's protests and gave Mauricio Esiquio a yellow card for diving instead. Octavio Chabier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Mauricio Esiquio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Alfonso Lordi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remigio Ekain in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Chabier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 played minutes KarNahu FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Cristos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Montay got free with Cecilio Pinto in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Shantala made a kick off. Remigio Ekain struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Octavio Chabier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KarNahu FC. In the 61st minute Emiliano Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Chabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Shantala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
