Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Club Atletico Banfield's Rafael Burutzagi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Los Correcaminos's Cristian Indar got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Salomone in the 13th minute of play forced Los Correcaminos's goalkeeper Tomás Senio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Urritz's late challenge caught a Los Correcaminos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Urritz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, one of Club Atletico Banfield:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico Banfield. After 21 played minutes Club Atletico Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Arias. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Jerrold got free with Santos Fe in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Los Correcaminos's zone, Rafael Burutzagi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Senio came out of the goal and Rafael Burutzagi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atletico Banfield's Matias Salomone got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregorio Rosario during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Rene Jerrold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Tomás Senio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Burutzagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, Los Correcaminos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Indar to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Correcaminos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Atletico Banfield had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
