The corner led Polvaredas FC's Danilo Eate to fire away a dangerous shot which Reynaldo Cortez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Cieneguita FC's Filomeno Maule made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Bautista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herminio Cresitobalo scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Cortez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Justin made a kick off. Guido Chayo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cieneguita FC booed when Polvaredas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Eate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Justin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cieneguita FC's Reynaldo Cortez got control of the ball when Jesus Heli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute Tomas Tipi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Benito Justin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesus Heli succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 95th playminute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Polvaredas FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
