The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Marcial Cebrian made a precise shot to the right of Cristobal Roano. El Palomar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of El Palomar FC booed when Cochrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Gorka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Enetz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Marcial Cebrian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Cristobal Roano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Marcial Cebrian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cochrane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Cebrian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saturnino Gorka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marcial Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cirilo Enetz during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cirilo Enetz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Palomar FC's goalkeeper Cristobal Roano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristobal Roano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Gorka in the 39th minute of play. Cristobal Roano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Gorka in the 43rd minute of the match. Cirilo Enetz might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augustas Damazeckas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Enetz ran back to his position shaking his head. Luciano Egoitz in the 49thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristobal Roano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saturnino Gorka was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Saturnino Gorka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Roano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 55 played minutes Cochrane got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Gorka. In the 56th minute, Jonatan Darien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cirilo Enetz was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cirilo Enetz kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Marcial Cebrian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Palomar FC's Cristobal Roano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristobal Roano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Gorka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Cebrian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Roano having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Placido Medardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Roano was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Cristobal Roano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 84 minutes of play, Cochrane's Saturnino Gorka made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristobal Roano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute Marcial Cebrian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Roano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristobal Roano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Gorka in the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to El Palomar FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jonatan Darien hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Marcial Cebrian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cochrane's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Cebrian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Roano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute Marcial Cebrian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Roano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cochrane fully deserved thier win.
