Spectators: 7062 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tionso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tionso's Ignacio Ieltxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Senen in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Tionso's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Leheren came free, but Ignacio Ieltxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes, Haroldo Lartaun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tionso and the Club Atletico Platense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Haroldo Lartaun kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Efrain Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Rio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Diego Loco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Platense's zone, Marcial Mederi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Loco came out of the goal and Marcial Mederi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Rio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Donato Rio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Loco. Club Atletico Platense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Rio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 54 played minutes Tionso got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Mederi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Senen in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignacio Ieltxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Guido Estefan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tionso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Platense's zone, Donato Rio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Loco came out of the goal and Donato Rio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Haroldo Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Rio scored 4-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Loco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diego Loco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Rio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Haroldo Lartaun came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Tionso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Lartaun couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Inocencio Chus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Loco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Rio's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The supporters of Tionso booed when Club Atletico Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Ibar succeeded in the game's 78th minute to get real power on a long shot . Club Atletico Platense's Diego Loco hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 5-0! In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Platense's goalkeeper Diego Loco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Jorge Senen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Platense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Senen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Tionso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Lartaun to maneuver through the defense. Donato Rio struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Diego Loco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tionso. Ignacio Ieltxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Senen in the 96th minute of the match. Tionso's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
