With his leg Dario Fresco managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Sozaito guazo fc's Edgard Beti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Iratze in the 16th minute of play forced Sozaito guazo fc's goalkeeper Luciano Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lucas Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Edelmiro Chale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Fresco having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Edgard Beti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sozaito guazo fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Beti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Fresco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Club Fogoneros Pergamino's goalkeeper Dario Fresco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Beti. After a defensive mix-up in Club Fogoneros Pergamino's zone, Lucas Fernanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Fresco came out of the goal and Lucas Fernanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edgard Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucas Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Delmar Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sozaito guazo fc and the Club Fogoneros Pergamino players grew even worse after the yellow card. 44 minutes into the game, Julian Rainerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sozaito guazo fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Fogoneros Pergamino the free kick. Luciano Lohitzun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabricio Monte went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Fernanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Teo Giro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Oinaz's late challenge caught a Club Fogoneros Pergamino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Oinaz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sozaito guazo fc's Aaron Oinaz got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Lucas Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dario Fresco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Fresco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Fernanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lucas Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teodosio Polo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sozaito guazo fc's protests and gave Teodosio Polo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Sozaito guazo fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Polo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Sozaito guazo fc's Luciano Lohitzun got control of the ball when Fernando Iratze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dario Fresco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Fernanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Edgard Beti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Fogoneros Pergamino eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
