The Rumiñahui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Bras should have stopped the shot. Epifanio Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Llorienzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Llorienzo to make the kick off. Banfiel Oeste's Generoso Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Lalla in the 52nd minute of play. Rosendo Sidro took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Gines. Generoso Gines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. A collision led to Rumiñahui getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Constantino Rudolfo hit a great ball. Generoso Gines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Sidro's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Narciso Frasquito took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Gines. Generoso Gines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. When Diego Valentine fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rumiñahui's protests and gave Diego Valentine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, Rumiñahui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Valentine to maneuver through the defense. Banfiel Oeste's Generoso Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Frasquito in the 76th minute of play. The Rumiñahui fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Rumiñahui's Rosendo Sidro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Epifanio Bras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 94 played minutes Rumiñahui got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Transito. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Rumiñahui were victorious despite being under pressure from Banfiel Oeste for much of the match.
