Spectators: 7048 (Terracing: 5405, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hermengildo Nicholas started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Benevento Calcio's zone, Lázaro Frutos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Nastasio came out of the goal and Lázaro Frutos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvaro Duarte took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arturo Nastasio. Arturo Nastasio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alvaro Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Arturo Nastasio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Geofredo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Lázaro Frutos spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Benevento Calcio's goal. Hermengildo Nicholas might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godofredo Hanni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermengildo Nicholas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lázaro Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Tanio hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Ernesto Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Hanni having to interfere. Though ot was a great shot V.Lynch's keeper Godofredo Hanni was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After a rather tough play, V.Lynch's Bonifacio Gartzen got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half V.Lynch were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Frutos to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lázaro Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, V.Lynch's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Nicholas came free, but Godofredo Hanni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Nicholas in the 72nd minute of play forced V.Lynch's goalkeeper Godofredo Hanni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Nastasio having to interfere. Hermengildo Nicholas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Benevento Calcio getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Benigno Casomiro hit a great ball. Alvaro Duarte in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arturo Nastasio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th minute, Lázaro Frutos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Laureano Abilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Nastasio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lázaro Frutos went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. V.Lynch's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
