Aquilino Erdiano ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Genaro Patrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sapere's supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Patrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Rodriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Pabla in the 16th minute of play. If Genaro Patrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Erdiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. David Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Piquete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Patrido came free, but David Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Quirze made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Bernardino Bemabe sent off a good shot on target. Timoteo Ortle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Piquete FC's Bernardino Bemabe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvano Quirze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35 minutes, Virgilio Mercurio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piquete FC and the Sapere players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sapere booed when Piquete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Mercurio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Piquete FC's Timoteo Ortle got a free kick in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Patrido in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Rodriguez saved Piquete FC from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquilino Erdiano to strike the kick off in the second half. Domingos Fiz missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 61 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Silvano Quirze right hand side. Genaro Patrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genaro Patrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Sandaili hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Piquete FC's David Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Erdiano in the 78th minute of play. After 85 played minutes Piquete FC got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Galsino. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecilio Mikelats during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Timoteo Ortle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Piquete FC's David Rodriguez got control of the ball when Genaro Patrido tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Rodriguez made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Genaro Patrido sent off a good shot on target. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
