Piquense Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Elizardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Benjamin Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Elizardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Silvano Quirze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 30 minutes on the clock, Generoso Amato commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 30th minute, one of Sapere:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sapere. Juan Raúl Riquelme shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Benjamin Elizardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sapere's zone, Ruben Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Quirze came out of the goal and Ruben Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Ruben Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piquense Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Gitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Sapere's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Gitano came free, but Silvano Quirze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genaro Patrido to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Elizardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Silvano Quirze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Piquense Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Sendoa to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Sapere's goalkeeper Silvano Quirze had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Gitano. Genaro Patrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Sapere's goalkeeper Silvano Quirze had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Gitano. Ruben Gitano took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Quirze. Silvano Quirze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Silvano Quirze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Elizardo's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. If Guido Sandaili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piquense Futbol Club's Saturnino Sendoa suffered a concussion in the 84th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Fidel Pabla kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Juan Raúl Riquelme sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sapere's Silvano Quirze didn't even have to move. 87 minutes into the match, Benjamin Elizardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvano Quirze. Sapere's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Elizardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ruben Gitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Quirze having to interfere. Roberto Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Patrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Patrido struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Roberto Bernat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sapere. The Sapere fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piquense Futbol Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
