After having played for 11 minutes, Fernan Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fecha Libre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernan Monte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fecha Libre FC reached it. 16 minutes into the game, Jimeno Gauargi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fecha Libre FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sapere the free kick. Elpidio Belo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jacobo Guerrero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anastasio Koldo. Fecha Libre FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elpidio Belo charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elpidio Belo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fecha Libre FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Patrido got free with Anastasio Koldo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Sapere's Aquilino Erdiano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anastasio Koldo. That made the score 0-3 after 95 minutes of play. The Sapere supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sapere would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
