Humberto Procopio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bonifacio Obeko's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Tolhuin's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Fidele came free, but Humberto Procopio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Eyague in the 34th minute of play. Maximiliano Eyague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Godfredo Irrintzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Criston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Tolhuin's Maximiliano Eyague sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Irrintzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Bonifacio Obeko made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Procopio. Tolhuin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ledesma would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
