In the 28th minute, one of Tolhuin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tolhuin. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Tabaquillo. Silvestre Tajo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Humberto Procopio. 1-0. Silvano Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Humberto Procopio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Clis's late challenge caught a Tolhuin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ildefonso Clis helped the player get up and apologised. Albano Dominic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Cordarryl in the 43rd minute of play. Ignacio Criston kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Silvestre Tajo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Licerio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Tolhuin's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Santiago came free, but Humberto Procopio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tolhuin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Procopio should have stopped the shot. Silvano Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Licerio struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Humberto Procopio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabaquillo. If Silvano Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Tabaquillo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
