After 5 minutes Yariguarenda AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Moises Hibai who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ledesma's Jimeno Edorta to fire away a dangerous shot which Ciriaco Llin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Godfredo Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Aguilera in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Eriberto Malvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bonifacio Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ledesma's zone, Ulises Aguilera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Irrintzi came out of the goal and Ulises Aguilera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yariguarenda AFC's Ciriaco Llin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Fidele in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th play minute Eriberto Malvin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Godfredo Irrintzi. 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Obeko notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Yariguarenda AFC's Ciriaco Llin. Ciriaco Llin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Timoteo Fidele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Llin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Godfredo Irrintzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Aguilera's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulises Aguilera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
