El Acuerdo's Francisco Sazon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Humberto Procopio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Sazon in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to El Acuerdo getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Feliberto Urre hit a great ball. Humberto Procopio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Theobald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernan Gabon to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardino Demario during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Tolhuin got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Demario. Gavino Lorenz struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Humberto Procopio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Acuerdo. In the 61st match minute, El Acuerdo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Eneto to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Procopio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tolhuin's Humberto Procopio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Tolhuin from getting a goal against them. If Gavino Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Acuerdo played a much better game than Tolhuin and deserved their victory. The Tolhuin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
