Silverio Sanchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gavino Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. El Acuerdo's Marco Hermon got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CUBA FC's Filomeno Beltza got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Marco Hermon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silverio Sanchez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gavino Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Sanchez having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marco Hermon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silverio Sanchez was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Marco Hermon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Silverio Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A sloppy throw-in by Severiano Avellaneda in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Acuerdo's Victor Haimar. Anastasio Vergaray hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Dalmacio Pudes hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Francisco Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, CUBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Lorenz came free, but Silverio Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Acuerdo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marco Hermon hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in CUBA FC's zone, Marco Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Sanchez came out of the goal and Marco Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Otoniel charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Otoniel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the El Acuerdo players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
