Spectators: 7358 (Terracing: 5519, Seating: 1692, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernando Igon took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Pule FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Igon came free, but Felix Gurutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Alicante FC's Alfonso Lia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Gurutz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alicante FC! In the 19th minute Diego Tancredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Menendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pule FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Fernando Igon scored to the left of an out of position Felix Gurutz, making the score, 3-0. If Gilberto Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute Arsenio Cloyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Menendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Alicante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Cloyo came free, but Gregorio Menendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregorio Menendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Rio in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Pule FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Hermon to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Diego Tancredo made the kick off in the second half. Felix Gurutz came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Alicante FC's Fernando Igon. But to his dismay, Fernando Igon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 56th minute of the match Prudencio Gorri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felix Gurutz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Felix Gurutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Igon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Diego Tancredo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Pule FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Tancredo couldn't finish the play. Alicante FC's Gregorio Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Cloyo in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Alfonso Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alicante FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Pule FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Igon came free, but Felix Gurutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Elvio Etxepare notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Pule FC's Felix Gurutz. Felix Gurutz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Diego Tancredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregorio Menendo was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. A collision led to Alicante FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Aurelio Hug hit a great ball. Alicante FC's Gregorio Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Ellande in the 92nd minute of play. Arsenio Cloyo scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregorio Menendo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alicante FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
