Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Loreto in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hipolito Dayam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Valentino FC booed when Palmitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Curcio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Humberto Nerio came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Valentino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Nerio couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Palmitas's Celedonio Resto got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute Humberto Nerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Dayam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeronimo Curcio was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Jonas Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valentino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Loreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hipolito Dayam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Valentino FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palmitas.
