Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Ebardo in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severo Leoiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Adolfo Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Leoiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Ebardo scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severo Leoiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Angelo Ebardo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Severo Leoiar. If Claudio Selatse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Rosario Canalla's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Oriche came free, but Severo Leoiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosario Canalla's Claudio Selatse got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fulgencio Urtzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Edelmiro Sidoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Ebardo to make the kick off. Severo Leoiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Ebardo in the 84th minute of play. Virgilio Sabin kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo Social Flores walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
