Hector Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Danilo Cristofor elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lino Olayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Cordarell in the 18th minute of play. Javier Kusko came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Nazario could save by the left post. If Danilo Cristofor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javier Kusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Hector Cordarell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Equipucho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Cordarell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Equipucho FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danilo Cristofor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Danilo Cristofor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Nazario having to interfere. Equipucho FC's Oscar Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Kusko in the 59th minute of play. Nemesio Torres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Lino Olayo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Equipucho FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Silvio Beltza hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Casimiro Mateus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Nazario showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the MugrososFC defense, Enrique Gagriel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Olayo. The MugrososFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Olayo should have stopped the shot. Hector Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Neto during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Equipucho FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Neto. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Javier Kusko managed to get in a good position for a shot. MugrososFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Kusko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgardo Intxixu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Intxixu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MugrososFC booed when Equipucho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Equipucho FC's Oscar Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Kusko in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Torres got free with Lino Olayo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hector Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Kusko took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Nazario. Oscar Nazario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Amadeo Adrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Nazario having to interfere.
