Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Cordoba's Aldo Arias started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Cordarell in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabricio Bernard saved Cordoba from getting behind. Equipucho FC's Oscar Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Arias in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Equipucho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Arias came free, but Oscar Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Aldo Arias sped through Equipucho FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Nazario. Fabricio Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Salvador Pacifico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Oscar Nazario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Nemesio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Equipucho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 31 minutes, Nemesio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Equipucho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Equipucho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Beltza to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Equipucho FC's zone, Aldo Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Nazario came out of the goal and Aldo Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Equipucho FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Enrique Gagriel hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Aldo Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laureano Urti kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Gregorio Danel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Equipucho FC's Oscar Nazario didn't even have to move. Aldo Arias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nemesio Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Kaxen hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 83 minutes in the game, Aldo Arias fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Oscar Nazario having to interfere. Hector Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cordoba booed when Equipucho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Arias received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Nazario came out and tried to block the shot, but Aldo Arias slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 90th minute. If Aldo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
