Mariano Baudelio was slow to take the kick. During this time Vtec FC's players had a chance to rest. Vtec FC's Mariano Baudelio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabricio Bernard in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 24th minute, Paolo Jatsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paolo Jatsu in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabricio Bernard saved Cordoba from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Artemio Oriche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabricio Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Jatsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Paolo Jatsu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabricio Bernard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Paolo Jatsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Fabricio Bernard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Baudelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Bernard having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cordoba's zone, Paolo Jatsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Bernard came out of the goal and Paolo Jatsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Paolo Jatsu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Cordoba's Fabricio Bernard. Fabricio Bernard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
