Esteban Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Tanio having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Empalme's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Cruz came free, but Camilo Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Empalme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Hernandez to maneuver through the defense. When Hilario Venceslao came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Empalme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Venceslao couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Chuchi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Mogel came free, but Bonifacio Tanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Empalme's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Hernan Cruz scored to the left of an out of position Camilo Blanco, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Mogel in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bonifacio Tanio saved Chuchi AFC from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Saul Txaran notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chuchi AFC's Bonifacio Tanio. Bonifacio Tanio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Saul Txaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Tanio having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Everardo Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Empalme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Gauargi hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Saul Txaran struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Bonifacio Tanio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empalme. Saul Txaran received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bonifacio Tanio came out and tried to block the shot, but Saul Txaran slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 65th minute. Esteban Mogel didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-3 via right post in the game's 69th minute. Empalme's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! 73 minutes into the match, Chuchi AFC's goalkeeper Bonifacio Tanio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Mogel. If Saul Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Blanco having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Empalme's Saul Txaran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bonifacio Tanio. That made the score 1-4 after 85 minutes of play. Esteban Mogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Chuchi AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Empalme were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
