Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 30) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Patricio Toribio kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Zapallar booed when Salto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Bela took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Urtsua. Jimeno Urtsua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eriberto Bastia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Bernard in the 15th minute of play. Arnulfo Harkaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jimeno Urtsua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Uriel Bela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Ofelio during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Toribio struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Eriberto Bastia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapallar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Arnulfo Harkaitz made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Salto 's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Toribio came free, but Eriberto Bastia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Urtsua having to interfere. After some careless play in the Zapallar defense, Arnulfo Harkaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimeno Urtsua. The Zapallar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Urtsua should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Harkaitz in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Urtsua saved Zapallar from getting behind. If Arturo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Patricio Toribio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zapallar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Arnulfo Harkaitz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jimeno Urtsua came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnulfo Harkaitz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 69th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zapallar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Jimeno Urtsua, was totally fooled by Salto 's Severino Urbes, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 78 minutes into the match, Salto 's Uriel Bela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Urtsua narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Arturo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Bernard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Bastia having to interfere. Zapallar's Patricio Toribio got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Salto players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
