Chelsea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Piojos FC the free kick. After 14 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Celso Dimas. Ciriaco Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lorenzo Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Tanio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Celso Dimas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edelmiro Tanio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Los Piojos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Checa came free, but Edelmiro Tanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Arnulfo Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Tanio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Los Piojos FC defense, Celso Dimas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Tanio. The Los Piojos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Tanio should have stopped the shot. If Celso Dimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Checa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Edelmiro Tanio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnulfo Checa to strike the kick off in the second half. Celso Dimas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Tanio having to make a save. In the 61st minute, Baldomiro Sengrat fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Celso Dimas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chelsea FC's Arnulfo Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Celso Dimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Sengrat, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Roman Franco, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Edelmiro Tanio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celso Dimas went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Calisto hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Celso Dimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Piojos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chelsea FC.
