Spectators: 6806 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Orlando Libertad started the match with the kick off. Ladislao Abajas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Covunco's Arturo Haitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Kismi in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rocky de Vélez's zone, Hilario Soter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsenio Urtsin came out of the goal and Hilario Soter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsenio Urtsin made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Danilo Dacio sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 12 in the game by Danilo Dacio from a close distance when the talented Arsenio Urtsin managed to make a qualified save. Rocky de Vélez's players were relieved. Ladislao Abajas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Arturo Haitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Dacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Arsenio Urtsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Covunco's Arturo Haitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Abajas in the 19th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Rocky de Vélez's Ladislao Abajas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Haitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute Orlando Libertad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenio Urtsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Libertad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Covunco getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Honorato Nicholas hit a great ball. Arsenio Urtsin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Dacio in the 39th minute. Felix Tonete took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arsenio Urtsin. Rocky de Vélez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th minute Ladislao Abajas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Haitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Haitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Kismi's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ladislao Abajas to make the kick off. Ladislao Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Haitz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Covunco's Felix Tonete got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ladislao Abajas struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Arturo Haitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rocky de Vélez. In the 76th minute, Rocky de Vélez's Ladislao Abajas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After 80 played minutes, Rocky de Vélez's Prudencio Argoitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arturo Haitz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rocky de Vélez reached it. After 82 played minutes Covunco got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Soter. Rocky de Vélez's Zeledon Enmanuel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arturo Haitz but with some difficulty. Federico Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Danilo Dacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covunco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Dacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arsenio Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Dacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rocky de Vélez had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
