The long shot by Arnoldo Lehoi in the 4th minute really tested Florentino Eron's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Maximiliano Inocente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Eron having to interfere. Leo Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Danilo Fagildo's late challenge caught a A.C. SAN MARTIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Fagildo helped the player get up and apologised. Teobaldo Ekialde took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florentino Eron. Florentino Eron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 21st minute Anastasio Galo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Montel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes, Edgard Bertran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Platense and the A.C. SAN MARTIN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maximiliano Inocente scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florentino Eron, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Galo in the 35th minute of play forced Club Atlético Platense's goalkeeper Matias Montel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Anastasio Galo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Matias Montel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Danilo Fagildo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florentino Eron. A.C. SAN MARTIN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Anastasio Galo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Ekialde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentino Eron. A.C. SAN MARTIN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teobaldo Ekialde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Teobaldo Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Eron having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Inocente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentino Eron. A.C. SAN MARTIN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Inocente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Ekialde in the 73rd minute of play forced A.C. SAN MARTIN's goalkeeper Florentino Eron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prospero Abaunza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Matias Montel came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Abaunza slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 78th minute. In the 91st match minute, A.C. SAN MARTIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Costante to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlético Platense's Ambrosio Guillem got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to A.C. SAN MARTIN getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Lázaro Hori hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.C. SAN MARTIN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Platense.
