Portugalete AFC's players were relieved. Anibal Isadore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Froylan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Lorenzo Fliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ismael Froylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Sanduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Arnulfo Palos came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugalete AFC's Emiliano Sanduru. But to his dismay, Emiliano Sanduru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The attack was good, but when Emiliano Sanduru in the 30th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ismael Froylan made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Lorenzo Fliz sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 43 in the game by Lorenzo Fliz from a close distance when the talented Ismael Froylan managed to make a qualified save. Portugalete AFC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in LUTGARDIS RIVEROS's zone, Emiliano Sanduru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Palos came out of the goal and Emiliano Sanduru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anier Faro was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Portugalete AFC got a corner. LUTGARDIS RIVEROS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristobal Madaleno ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Portugalete AFC's corner Cristobal Madaleno fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnulfo Palos quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Portugalete AFC's Albano Menendo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Anibal Isadore might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Froylan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Isadore ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Erasmo Admon could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Arnulfo Palos however easily saved by the left post. In the 73rdth minute of the game Anibal Isadore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugalete AFC's Ismael Froylan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiliano Sanduru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnulfo Palos stood somewhat misplaced when Anier Faro came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 77 minute. Erasmo Admon's late challenge caught a LUTGARDIS RIVEROS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Admon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Portugalete AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Erasmo Admon hit a great ball. Anibal Isadore kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Arnulfo Palos made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Emiliano Sanduru sent off a good shot on target. If Lorenzo Fliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Fliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Froylan having to interfere. Ismael Froylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Fliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Portugalete AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
