Atletico Tongante's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentinos Juniors the free kick. Rogelio Nayely showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Teofilio in the 38th minute of the match. Alvaro Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Sauveur in the 41st minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Enekoitz to make the kick off. The referee gave Argentinos Juniors a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Silvano Atauri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Tongante's Rogelio Nayely. 2-0. Alvaro Batista was a little too slow when Bernardino Hodei got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 65th match minute, Atletico Tongante was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Hurko to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Jago came free, but Alvaro Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atletico Tongante's Rogelio Nayely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Enekoitz in the 76th minute of play. Rogelio Nayely didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lorenzo Teofilio went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Argentinos Juniors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
