Spectators: 5838 (Terracing: 4075, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Heriberto started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Urtungo in the 5th minute of play forced La Maquinita FC's goalkeeper Teodosio Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Esrella Roja FC's Silverio Laurendi got control of the ball when Nicanor Ibar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Nicanor Ibar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Maquinita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Teodosio Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Heriberto in the 13th minute of play. Teodosio Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Heriberto in the 18th minute of the match. Teodosio Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25th play minute Nicanor Ibar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Silverio Laurendi. 2-0. Ivan Heriberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Teodosio Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Teobaldo Matthew came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Esrella Roja FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Matthew couldn't finish the play. Teodosio Quintana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Quiroga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Dionisio Cefero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esrella Roja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Cefero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Quintana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicanor Ibar was the one to do the kick off. La Maquinita FC's Teodosio Quintana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save La Maquinita FC from getting a goal against them. Teodosio Quintana made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Ivan Heriberto sent off a good shot on target. Silverio Laurendi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertil Plomgaard's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Teobaldo Matthew hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Teodosio Quintana made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Ivan Heriberto sent off a good shot on target. Ivan Heriberto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Teodosio Quintana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. La Maquinita FC's Teodosio Quintana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save La Maquinita FC from getting a goal against them. Teodosio Quintana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Heriberto in the 65th minute. Teodosio Quintana came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Esrella Roja FC's Ivan Heriberto. But to his dismay, Ivan Heriberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fabricio Beliran kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Teodosio Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Cefero, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Teodosio Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Cefero in the 84th minute of play. Esrella Roja FC's Ivan Heriberto came free and shot a quick shot against goal 87 minutes in the game, fortunately Teodosio Quintana had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 89thth minute of the game Bertil Plomgaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esrella Roja FC's Silverio Laurendi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Bertil Plomgaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Comas struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Silverio Laurendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Maquinita FC. With a little luck, La Maquinita FC's Teodosio Quintana got control of the ball when Ivan Heriberto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Many of Esrella Roja FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Esrella Roja FC may have spent more time on the ball, but La Maquinita FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
