Fabio Iyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Jeraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeronimo Jeraldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fabio Iyan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Erasto hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Leonel Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Bartoleme kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Fabio Iyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Leonel Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Lucado hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Jeronimo Jeraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luciano Frans hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeronimo Jeraldo in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Iyan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonel Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Iyan having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Leonel Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Gregory to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jeronimo Jeraldo sped through Travesía AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabio Iyan. If Jeronimo Jeraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sportivo FC's Leonel Vargas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Fabio Iyan made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jeronimo Jeraldo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Travesía AFC's Fabio Iyan got control of the ball when Jeronimo Jeraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Leonel Vargas lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Fabio Iyan. Thanks to some nice moves Jeronimo Jeraldo could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Fabio Iyan however easily saved by the left post. Leonel Vargas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Sportivo FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Jeronimo Jeraldo put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Iyan. After 90 minutes, Jonathan Mirande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo FC and the Travesía AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Jeronimo Jeraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Bartoleme's late challenge caught a Sportivo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Bartoleme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Leon Bartoleme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leonel Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Jeronimo Jeraldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Sportivo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Travesía AFC.
