Nicanor Ibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Paulo Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Bertil Plomgaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Maquinita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertil Plomgaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manfre Returns FC's Paulo Sotero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Ibar in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Astigar in the 19th minute of play forced La Maquinita FC's goalkeeper Teodosio Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Nicanor Ibar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Nicanor Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Maquinita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicanor Ibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Sotero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bertil Plomgaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, La Maquinita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. La Maquinita FC were furious when Jeremias Piearres was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Silverio Orain placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 38 minutes into the match, Manfre Returns FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Comas came free, but Paulo Sotero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Ibar in the 47th minute of play forced Manfre Returns FC's goalkeeper Paulo Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute of the match La Maquinita FC got a corner. Manfre Returns FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bertil Plomgaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. 57 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Gartxot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Teodosio Quintana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 60 played minutes Manfre Returns FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Gartxot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Froilan Musko in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Quintana saved La Maquinita FC from getting behind. If Nicanor Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Musko in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in La Maquinita FC's zone, Arnoldo Gartxot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Quintana came out of the goal and Arnoldo Gartxot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froilan Musko scored 3-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Quintana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodosio Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Urtungo in the 82nd minute of the match. Froilan Musko scored 4-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Quintana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicanor Ibar hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Teodosio Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Gartxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 95 played minutes La Maquinita FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Comas. La Maquinita FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Manfre Returns FC had won, even though La Maquinita FC had held more of the ball.
