Nicanor Ibar ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Pachatero FC's zone, Nicanor Ibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Eate came out of the goal and Nicanor Ibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nicanor Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Eate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 24th play minutes Bertil Plomgaard shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Miguel Eate and just under the crossbar into goal. When Ceferino Dimo fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pachatero FC's protests and gave Ceferino Dimo a yellow card for diving instead. Ceferino Dimo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Cambranes got free with Teodosio Quintana in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
