Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ivan Heriberto took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Sportivo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Heriberto came free, but Esteve Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Vargas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silverio Laurendi came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonel Vargas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportivo FC's Luciano Frans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silverio Laurendi. That made the score 2-0 after 11 minutes of play. If Jeronimo Jeraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Vargas scored 3-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silverio Laurendi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silverio Laurendi made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Luciano Frans sent off a good shot on target. Esrella Roja FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonel Vargas 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Rene Sidoro's late challenge caught a Esrella Roja FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Sidoro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Rene Sidoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Esrella Roja FC's Ivan Heriberto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 29 minutes into the game, Danilo Sanduru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esrella Roja FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo FC the free kick. Danilo Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jeronimo Jeraldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silverio Laurendi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeronimo Jeraldo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 34 minutes of play Sportivo FC's Rene Sidoro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Esrella Roja FC booed when Sportivo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Sidoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Sportivo FC's Leonel Vargas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. The long shot by Conrado Acosta in the 39th minute really tested Silverio Laurendi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 40th match minute, Sportivo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Silverio Laurendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Frans in the 41st minute of the match.

Leonel Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Laurendi having to interfere. Conrado Acosta hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Urtungo in the 55th minute of play forced Sportivo FC's goalkeeper Esteve Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Leonel Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Sportivo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Vargas couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute Luciano Frans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Laurendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Vargas in the 62nd minute of play forced Esrella Roja FC's goalkeeper Silverio Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Luciano Frans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Laurendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Ivan Heriberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Esteve Otsoko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 71 played minutes Sportivo FC got a freekick which was hit by Joni Maidana. 72 minutes into the game, Horacio Urtungo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteve Otsoko. Horacio Urtungo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-2. Ivan Heriberto came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Esteve Otsoko could save by the left post. After 83 minutes of play, Sportivo FC's Leonel Vargas made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Laurendi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivan Heriberto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 6-3 in the 89th playminute. Silverio Laurendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes, Luciano Frans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo FC and the Esrella Roja FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esrella Roja FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sportivo FC.
