The CF La Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristobal Mero should have stopped the shot. After the first half Sportivo FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Estevon made a kick off. Leonides Geofredo scored 0-6 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristobal Mero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristobal Mero didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. A collision led to Sportivo FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cristobal Mero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Vargas went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Jeronimo Jeraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute, Luciano Frans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The CF La Plata fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sportivo FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
