Spectators: 6653 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) Maipú FC's Ambrosio Rencio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmen FC's goalkeeper Jose Maidana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th match minute, Carmen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Godoy to maneuver through the defense. Jose Maidana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrosio Rencio's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 19th minute Ambrosio Rencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Maidana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Maidana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Rencio in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Carmen FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Emanuel Foro hit a great ball. Humberto Macario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jeronimo Hever tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Arnulfo Belmiro came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Carmen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Belmiro couldn't finish the play. Carmen FC's Arnulfo Belmiro got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jose Maidana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Orlin in the 44th minute. If Anselmo Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Romo during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55thth minute of the game Humberto Macario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maipú FC's Jeronimo Hever was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Maipú FC's Rogelio Bastia got a free kick in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Orlin in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Maidana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Macario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeronimo Hever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Macario, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Anselmo Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maipú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Orlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Maidana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jose Maidana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Rencio in the 82nd minute of play. Maipú FC's Ambrosio Rencio got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Humberto Macario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carmen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Macario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Belmiro struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Jeronimo Hever didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carmen FC. Carmen FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
