In the 17th minute, one of AC MILAN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC MILAN. Aureliano Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Higinio Sayveon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Gaizko charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. AC MILAN's Tobias Lehior proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save AC MILAN from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
